The boundaries of the Fulton River District are Ohio St to the North, Lake St to the South, North Branch of the Chicago River to the East and the 90/94 Kennedy Expressway to the West.

The Fulton River District is located within the 60642, 60654 and 60661 zip codes and is part of the 27th and 42nd Wards.

New real estate development and the Chicago Riverwalk extension have made a huge impact on the Fulton River neighborhood in Chicago. Future projects include the new Bally’s Casino and Hotel come soon to the River West / Fulton River area of Chicago.

Fulton River District Public Transportation

The Fulton River District is extremely centrally located and residents can walk east to the River North neighborhood via the Grand Ave Bridge and Kinzie St Bridge within about 5 minutes. The Downtown Chicago Loop is within walking distance (approximately 10 minutes) and residents can also walk west to the West Loop / Fulton Market neighborhood within about 5 minutes.

The CTA ‘L’ train station at Grand (Blue Line) is the most centrally located underground train station in the Fulton River District and allows residents to easily access the downtown Chicago Loop within a few minutes and Chicago O’Hare International Airport with approximately 30 - 40 minutes of commute time. The Clinton (Green Line and Pink Line) CTA ‘L’ train station is located on the southern boundary of the neighborhood and provides easy access to the Chicago loop and the west side of Chicago. The bus lines that service the Fulton River District are: #56 Desplaines / Milwaukee, #8 Halsted and #65 Grand. Fulton River District residents can also easily catch an Amtrak and/or Metra train to the suburbs of Chicago and states surrounding Illinois at Olgilvie Transportation Center and Union Station.
